So, the Government has a target to reduce the rate of teenage pregnancy by 2010. As part of this it’s pressuring local councils to offer contraceptive jabs in teenage pregnancy hot spots (to girls as young as 13). Last year almost £500 million was spent by the Government to encourage teenagers from poorer backgrounds to stay on at school (and do well). But is this fair on other teenagers whose parents earn more money, and could it be better spent?

What do you think: is it okay for teens to go under the knife?

A recent survey reported 40% of 14/15 year olds have considered plastic surgery. For young teenagers surgery can only be approved with a G.P. referral and parental approval. Typically, teens under 16 having nose jobs or boob jobs do so because they have self-image issues which their G.P. feels are causing real emotional issues.
