Crazy fan tries to hitch a lift with Britney

Britney Spears got the shock of her life last night when a fan tried to get into her vehicle while the pop star was stuck in Hollywood traffic. The unnamed man ripped open one of the doors on Spears' SUV and attempted to clamber inside.

Security from the Standard hotel, where the singer was heading with friends, noticed the fracas and jumped in, removing the fan from the scene.

Spears was then caught on camera trying to compose herself before reaching over and closing the door and then driving up to the valet area of the hotel.
