Hey guys. I've been thinking about some thing recently to do with charities and teentoday.co.uk giving something back. I know a lot of you are compassionate and want to make a difference.. do you think there is anything we could do to support a cause on the site (message boards and the rest).

When charity advertisers books ads on the site I give extra ads for free but maybe there are more things we can do and I would like to know what you guys think.

Please don't reply with just yes or good idea... do any of you have creative / unique ideas or charities you're particularly passionate about?

Some form of sponsored click system such as thehungersite could be an interesting idea. I mean, it would need to be interactive for sure I would think, because unless a member is getting something back in return, they may aswell go direct to the charity in question.

Also... An idea could be to give a portion of monthly advertising revenue to a charity chosen by the site members in a vote. That way we would feel more involved etc.

And yeah, great idea Olly.

Just looking at everyclick.com - we could offer that search on the site and ask to prenominate the charity... I definitely feel it could be good if we could focus on one charity so we could see what the combined TT power can do!

A few months back on the old boards there was a suggestion for a TT shop of some sort I think, selling T-Shirts with catchy slogans, things like that, if you could find somebody to make them cafepress or something similar and perhaps give a small percentage of each sale to charity? If it's financially feasible and all.

Maybe we could have a "special" membership which you pay for, and this can give you new features on the forums. 25% of each payment can goto charity?

Hmmm I couldn't take any more away from a charity. NSPCC will be advertising again soon and I will be making a donation to them. I'm going to think about this more.. so any more ideas please post.

I agree with Lee. Make a "Premium membership". Able to download a picture as your avatar Icon on the chatroom? Post Pictures on your profile? You can put colored Text on the chatroom? I would love to in a membership like that you know?
Add Premium Features ONLY on tt.

I am sure other TT'ers and Supporters will join and follow.

Tbh i think premium is a bad idea, noobs will come to the site, see that to do anything cool you need to pay, and then leave. Another consideration is that the core membership of te site at present is uni students, we ain't the richest bunch around yanno?
