Anyone got any favourite authors and/or books? What books do you recommend?

Mad as it sounds, when I have time I want to read the Bible.. apparently it's really good to read, and it modifies your whole way of thinking, depending on how you look at it.

I love the Georgia Nicholson books (by Louise Rennison). I read them all when I was younger, and I've just swapped rooms with my little sister, so everything I own has been found, including them. Re-reading them now, love em!

J.K. Rowling- She's basically the reason I wanted to become a writer in the first place.
Jasper Fforde and Patricia Cornwell are totally great as well.

Sue Townsend as a kid. Now Ben Elton is a big favourite.

I would highly recommend the Dave Pelzer series "A Child Called It" etc. Tough going though as they deal with very sensitive subject matter and are quite disturbing at points. An amazing tale of survival of abuse though!
