buses in cumbria are the most annoying things ever.
only bus company where i live is Stagecoach, and they are just rip off merchants. it is £8.30 return to the 1st bus stop as you enter carlisle, but you can stay on the bus for another 15 mins to the bus station for exactly the same price! the buses are terrible aswel. they are pretty old, and rusty, and the seats normally move or squeak badly when you sit on them. and the buses stink aswel, and your feet stick to the floors.
whatever happened to customer comfort and safety is our concern??????????
the local train network is just as bad. northern rail squeeze as many people onto the trains as they can and the conductors still manage to squeeze down the train to get money off everyone. people who get to sit down in "comfort" pay the same as someone who has their face squashed against the window in the wheelchair area with no space to breathe.

Sometimes I also do hate riding on buses and trains. It sometimes really is frustrating and to some extent dangerous. To make matters worst, sometimes the drivers or whoever is in charge is all grumpy and stuff.. Pfft.

i have to use stagecoach to get to sixth form now  we use a plaxton coach though, so it isnt that bad, but there is no power in it, and it struggles getting up hills (living in cumbria, that is a big problem). we had a really funny driver today, but the rest are miserable. i only use it because it is free. we only have to use stagecoach because a local coach hire firm that provided us with transport went bankrupt
