I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine that went something like this-
her-"I don't want to be your best friend any more,"
Me-"I kinda got that... why?"
her-"well, you've been being really grumpy lately,"
Me-"ok, fine"
I WAS FEELING DEPRESSED YOU STUPID IDIOT CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT! Anyways, now she won't let it go. She said today Why are you being really off with me? You're acting like I've done something wrong, which I haven't!
This probably seems like a really childish argument, but I had to let it out.

Well good job the rant thread was here to help!
Out of interest, how old are you? You don't have to answer of course, I'm just interested! I used to have similar arguments to that when I was a bit younger, they always blew over.
Unfortunately girls (and hey I count myself in that bracket) can be like that, some of us have the amazing ability to polarise between clingy and disinterested, and get easily annoyed by anything and everything, regardless of our friend's feelings.
I'm a bit more laid back myself, but my best friend acted like you described when I was having a difficult time, and yes it hurt!
You say you're glad you don't have to hang out with her, but if that's really true why the need for the post?
If you're truly through with her good for you, I'm sure you can do better!
But if you miss her friendship the best thing you can do is talk to her and, basically, ask why she's being such an unfeeling brat! But more politely, of course. Chances are she doesn't realise she's being inconsiderate, and maybe you could both do with trying to see eachother's point of view a bit more clearly.
Just a suggestion.

I'm 13... She's not very good at seeing from other peoples point of view, but today she did at least say- I'm sorry if it sounded like I was having a go at you yesterday, but You were acting a bit odd.
I was shocked. Yesterday when I wrote that I was feeling pretty pissy cause of her being annoying. I did actually tell her about a week ago how I was feeling depressed and she replied with- Well, I have bad days but I don't take it out on my friends, do i?- She was then off with me the rest of the lesson.
I don't know why I'm still moaning, cause I, today, made other friends. Thanks for being supportive... Now I think about it, from her point of view I must be seeming miserable for no reason, and she's just getting annoyed, and perhaps needs a way to let it out. Anyways, today was a lot better, still being pretty unsmiling but my new mates can deal with that, so tis all good
