Okay, Last time i told all how i was stuck and having to meet deadlines pretty soon with the whole personal statement thing... And the advice & help on it i took on board, And i came up with a pretty good statement. Until it had got checked over in school & lets just say i'm left with half a statement:
“I've always been very hopeful which I guess isn’t strange coming from me. I don't want to call myself an optimist. I want to say that I've always been full of hope. I've never lost that.” - Stephen Spielberg, Award winning director & producer
To be honest, I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in the media, whether it was to be an actor, director or journalist. I remember in my early days of school always having a magazine in my bag and always wanting to talk about current affairs when we would have class discussions. Having a passion for the media has at one point made some sort of decision as to where I would like to go in life; this has been evident when choosing my GCSE subjects, as I chose to study performing arts & media. I thoroughly enjoyed my performing arts course, as it broke down a lot of barriers regarding my self confidence & social skills as the course was about team work and performing in front others which you must believe in yourself to do. The highlight of my course was performing the choreography piece ‘All That Jazz’ from the 2002 film ‘Chicago’ in front of an invited audience of students, teachers & parents. I was pleased to get a Pass grade in performing arts because I was never the best dancer or the best actor but I was able to enjoy & get straight into the course with rewarding results.
Obviously with 4 days left to complete everything i'm slightly panicking. Lol. so if anyone has any idea on how to make this even better it would be hugely appreciated. HUGELY! Lol.
