Thank you so much Berni you are an absolute Star.

Maybe we should sticky this as a general thread for stress?

I feel like a fool now, after people have told me I coulda talked to them blah blah blah.

Just need a hug now.

something else to add to berni's list is something me and my housemate agree on that works wonders and its a cup of tea.
Purely because you have to sit down for at least 5 minutes to let it cool so you can drink it and in that time you can relax a hell of a lot. Maybe try doing it with herbal tea to increase the relaxing.

I'm in the same position too at the moment with a crazy amount of work (your in your 2nd year arent you? sorry to say but the 3rd year's just as bad :() and I've found that its brilliant to make a plan of what you need/want to do each day.
Its worth taking like 20minutes out of your work time to plan out what you want to do each day, I have mine stuck on my wall and it really helps to stick to the plan.
Like berni said you have to make the goals realistic or it will just stress you out even more, also if the goals are realisting and you get done what you wanted to do in a day, or you do more, then it feels great.

Time out to burn off energy is always good as well, I find that if I spend days just sat doing work then I get fidgity and restless and need to do something active. Going out and dancing is good but if you don't have the time for that going for a run or going swimming is good too.
Plus doing exercise will give you a general happier feeling, I often go swimming in the morning and then I feel much more motivated to work all day.

I get a spot if I'm stressed out or under loads of pressure.

Yeh I know I fully expect next year to be even worse. I'm hoping this might have kicked me into gear and I might be slightly more organised, you never know.

I'm not a fan of tea I have to admit, but yeh I know sitting around for a few minutes talking to someone does make you feel ten times better.

I have been planning to the extent I can, but its so hard because you can never tell which books etc. are gonna be any good until you read them.

I forgot to mention in my post actually that I've been doing tons of exercise, tjhats the one thing I'm making time for because it makes me feel so much better. I have hockey later tonight, looking forward to releasing some tension on a hockey ball, or someones shins.

Ah I'm not so stressed today anyhow. I think its because I was tired last night too. Still too much work but these things have to be dealt with.

Just thought I'd update you guys. I finished my last essay today, gonna hand it in on Monday, other than that I have a presentation I can blag and some seminar work and thats it before the hols. I'm so much less stressed, and my body is recovering. And I've spoken to both my best friends ince, and more or less come to an understanding about life.

I just want to say an absolutely massive thank you to everyone that gave me advice here, it was much appreciated. I will remember it for the future. And an especially huge tahnk you to Berni and Leon, who were so lovely to me, and put up with me moaning, and pretty much stopped me breaking down completely. I owe you both \:\)

You owe me nothing chickpea. Part and parcel of the job description. I'm very proud of you though, and very very pleased for you.

put one day a week aside for you to do something you enjoy, going out somewhere with friends, stopping in your pjamas all day watching films or going away for the day coz then atleast you#ll have something to think about to look forward to
