Tell us what to do. We do it. Welcome to TT Tries

Last week, I met a friend for dinner. There is nothing unusual about that; people go and meet friends for dinner all the time. So why am I telling you? Because she was wearing harem pants.

“Wow Laura,” I can hear you sarcastically thinking. “This is a really exciting story, isn’t it? I expect James Cameron is hammering your door down to make a film about this.” Well, loyal teentoday.co.uk readers, I can’t tell you if he is because I’m not at home. I’ve dragged myself down to Topshop to buy myself a pair of hareem pants. Before I had seen my friend wearing them, I had dismissed them, going as far as saying that: “the only time I would ever be seen wearing them is if I was going to a fancy-dress party as a genie.” But once I had seen someone I knew trying them out and looking amazing in them, I completely changed my mind.

Perhaps it’s just because I’m incredibly fickle, but I’d rather think that it was because someone I knew and trusted was wearing the pants and made them look good. So, with that rather long-winded thought in mind, I bring to you a new project for teentoday.co.uk. Hit “see more”.

Hilarious Ke$ha parody this way

This was originally going to be a shit or hit for the Sugababes’ new video, Wear My Kiss. But I found that song and video frankly so uninspiring (brief breakdown: song’s average, the intro may be the best thing about it, Jade’s hair looks like she should be in a Manga comic, comes to something when the main thing that blogs are squealing about is a giant pair of shoes) that I was driven back into the arms of this hilarious, witty and downright catchy parody of Ke$ha’s Tik Tok, courtesy of Britain’s own Midnight Beast feat. St£fan (ha ha).

TGI’s bar skills put us to shame. teentoday.co.uk Xmas party cancelled :-(

Okay, so I’m not 100% sure if this is insane skill, camera trickery, CGI or a killer combination of all three - but this video of the Prestwich TGI Friday’s crew sharing their bar skills is equal parts brilliant and depressing. Hit “see more” to take a look.

And the winners are… Obsessed and Tokidoki Gelaskins edition

Bear with us, we’ve just received news that thanks to the peeps at Trident, teentoday.co.uk’s being treated to two tickets to Beyoncé in concert this Sunday and we’re just coming down from the buzz… we might not make any money but the perks are epic. Single Ladies and Halo live, the glowing presence of Mrs Jay Z, oceans of booze and metres of hotdogs, oh, and the opportunity to meet the teeentoday.co.uk comp winners that got their mits on tickets too! Expect photos and twitter ranting. Only vaguely related to this article, but we had to share. Anyway, normal service resumes in 3, 2, 1… the winners of the Tokidoki Gelaskins and Obsessed competitions are after the jump…
