We’ll admit we’ve been having our cake and eating it when it’s come to selecting summer smashes, having already highlighted Le Kid’s Mercy Mercy, BEP’s I Gotta Feeling, VV Brown’s entire album and just yesterday, Tinchy Stryder’s duet with Amelle. Whilst we waited patiently at Universal’s beautiful offices in Kensington for our Girls Can’t Catch interview (yes, we WILL be mentioning this in every article) we heard the new Tinchy Stryder track Never Leave You on their bumper soundsystem and were instantly in love. Hit “see more”.

Introducing Kim Petras (who used to be male)

Transsexual history was made at the beginning of February when the German-born Kim - formally Tim - Petras became the youngest person EVER to have a full sex change at just 16. Though two years under the legal age in Germany to have the surgery, the op was completed after doctors universally agreed Kim was ‘without a doubt a girl in a boy’s body’. Kim has been taking her hormone replacement therapy since the tender age of 12 - to keep her breasts in check and unwanted facial hair at bay - and she has fought hard to show people that she is more than just her gender, even having to persuade her own dad that the op was the right decision. When asked in an interview about the surgery herself Kim stated “I was asked if I feel like a woman now - but the truth is I have always felt like a woman - I just ended up in the wrong body”.
