Beautiful Malice by Rebecca James - must-read Monday!

Beautiful Malice by Rebecca James - must-read Monday!

With a $1 million publishing deal and hailed as “the next J.K Rowling” by The Wall Street Journal, there is a lot of hype at the moment surrounding Rebecca James and her psychological teen thriller, Beautiful Malice. But despite all the hype and apparent success of the novel, this is a book that polarises critics and fans alike. Some say that it is too dramatic; the characters appear to be stolen from Neighbours, the plot farcical and the ending anti-climatic. Whilst others cannot rave enough about how gripping the book is, how real the characters feel and how much they love the different flashback series throughout. So what’s a person to think when there are such contrasting and varied opinions? Why, just read teentoday.co.uk’s review – the definitive and only opinion that counts! Withering Tights - Louise Rennison’s new book. CHAPTER 2 FREE!

Louise Rennison is the reigning queen / most important thing in teen literature as proven by the runaway success of her sadly now-over series of Georgia Nicolson books which sold over 1.7million copies in the UK, and more importantly their pride of place location on the TT bookshelf. But after closing the final chapter of her GN series did Louise do a ‘teentoday’ and sit at home munching Milka, and ranting at 80-year old mediocre singers on Britain’s Got Talent. Well probably, but she also found time to create a totally new series of books called Withering Tights. And if you hit see more, you can read, chapter 2 totally free on teentoday.co.uk. Amazing.

And because we asked for your address to enter - we’re pleased to say the books are already on their way. Efficient. Sorry to those that didn’t win :-(

Our experience of Bloomsbury’s works so far has been as hit and miss as a mystery grab bag that you get from the newsagent. Whilst we loved and praised the gorgeous Magic Under Glass, we hated the artificial and bitter taste that My Love Lies Bleeding left in our mouths. So here we were again, padded white manila envelope in hand with the latest literary offering from the publishing giant, wondering what was in store for us this time. Would it be love at first read or would we be preparing an open letter to Bloomsbury declaring literary war on yet another shitty teen novel? Hit ‘see more’ to see which it’s to be.
