*Update: this competition is now closed, thank you for all your entries. The brainy-type that correctly answered that there is 1 person going to St Ives (you see, it’s you going and everyone else coming) and wins a copy of the game and a DSi is Chloe from Norfolk. The four runners-up that win a copy of the game are Chloe S, Harriet M from Coventry, Hannah C and Pixie L from Sheffield (not her real name, unless pop careers don’t pay as well as they used to). Congratulations guys. Everyone else… better luck next time!
You can see the winners to all our competitions here.*
And good morning to you too. Continuing this week’s generous theme we have 5 copies of The ABC Murders for Nintendo DS and a DSi up for grabs. So if you’ve not had much luck in the teentoday.co.uk competitions this week (or even if you have) “hit see” more to enter.
The ABC Murders, out now, is a DS adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic murder mystery crime novel of the same name, and craftily combines the fad for all things puzzling and portable with a literary and daytime TV legend (if you’re not familiar with the books then ask your dad. And if you don’t know the TV show, you’ve obviously never been a student). You play Captain Hastings, Hercule Poirot’s diligent assistant. Using the touch screen controls, you’ll inspect crime scenes, question suspects, and draw conclusions in an effort to catch the murderer before he strikes again.
Though we’re yet to review the game (look out for that soon) following the book’s twists and turns, it should bring enough intrigue, mystery and quirky characters to keep even the most competent amateur-detective types entertained for hours. For your chance to win try and answer this simple riddle (bonus points if you can do it without using Google):
As I was going to St. Ives
I met a man with seven wives
The seven wives had seven sacks
The seven sacks had seven cats
The seven cats had seven kits
Kits, cats, sacks and wives
How many were going to St. Ives?

None of the people were in the shop at the same time. The first arived at 5:00pm and left at 5:30. The second was in the shop 1/2 as long the first. The fourth said the shop was empty as he passed by at 6 after 6:00pm. The third was in the shop 4 minutes longer than the second, but arived at 5:45pm - he bought tobacco leaves. The fifth was seen leaving the store at 6:30pm.From this information we can figure the exact time of the murder! The murderer must have snuck in when no one else was around. But what time was that?
