Look! A new addition to our team - meet Conor

Like the queue for the ice cream truck at fat camp, the team at teentoday.co.uk is ever-expanding. But fear not dear reader, our plans for world domination won’t stop us delivering your favourite new music, style, advice, TV and book reviews with the honesty, charm and razor sharp analysis you’ve come to expect from us (thanks to our extraordinarily difficult and rigorous selection process detailed later). Meet the latest addition to the Internet’s most exclusive club (err that’s the teentoday.co.uk writing team) after the jump.

The new team member who is now contractually obligated to share the best in new music, books, film and his and - teentoday.co.uk’s personal favourite - low-rent TV, plus join us on tuneless nights out at the karaoke, is the one, the only Conor (aka platinumjones). *A world stares blankly at the screen* Panic not gang, you’ll know all about him soon enough. And for the shallow sorts out there, we’ve plastered a nice pic of Conor at the top of the page. He’s the one who’s not actually looking at the camera, all unsmiley and sporting a massive pair of DJ headphones - surely proof he knows what he’s talking about?

Now back to that rigorous selection process we mentioned. Below we share Conor’s response to the question: tell us 3 reasons why teentoday.co.uk is your favourite teen site? His answers formed the best application we’ve ever had… and we’ve had literally 6 applications. With talent like this, Conor no doubt has his eye on the top job. Leaving Olly able to hide under his blanket all day. So everyone’s happy then.

3 Reasons why teentoday.co.uk is my favourite teen site:

1) Willfully trying to stir up drama between Girls Can’t Catch and Dolly Rockers. Nothing like an old fashioned girlband feud! Brilliant stuff. (yes, we did do this)

2) Shit or Hit: the best tagline for a feature I’ve seen since the glory days of Popworld.

3) The video interviews: fun, informative and genuinely different to the usual super staged and super dull ones you see on similar sites. That Girls Can’t Catch interview is a great example, not only does it teach you more about the group but its also fun and not a five minute soundbyte fest. A welcome change.

So there you go. Conor’s in, the rest of you are still out. But keep contributing, visiting, loving and sharing what we do and one day you too may be elevated to the almost godlike status of unpaid contributor to a teen site.

Say hello to Conor... be nice!
