Pixie Lott for Lipsy - new clothes range!

It must be Pixie Lott’s lucky week. Despite the fact that she owes us an interview, we’ve already discussed her not-exactly-groundbreaking new video and now we’re about to discuss her not-exactly-groundbreaking new fashion range. Hit see more to take a look at Pixie Lott for Lipsy.
Firstly, fans of Lipsy in its regular guise will not be disappointed. Lipsy specialises in fast fashion dresses and Pixie’s range offers plenty of those. Occasionally, they might look a little cheap and it’s perhaps best to keep those synthetic fabrics away from naked flames but for £60, you’re hardly expecting a Westwood, are you?
Secondly, fans of Pixie Lott will not be disappointed. The jury’s out on whether Pixie actually has a strong signature style but her range is split into two collections that epitomise the looks we most often see her in – ‘Pixie Party’ for nights out on the town and ‘Pixie Festival’ for her more boho daytime style.
Pixie Festival includes two waistcoats, a denim oversized shirt, some shorts and lots of floaty boho dresses – none of it revolutionary but very much the look for the summer. The accompanying photo-shoot sees Pixie styled to perfection in the hope that you’ll feel the need to buy the whole outfit (see above) – so the studded fringe waistcoat (£38) is married with a tee and some black lace hotpants (£20), whilst being photographed with leather studded boots and a motorbike to obviously signify ‘rock chick’. Despite the no-brainer semiotics, it looks good.
We also like the detail on the cutwork racer back top (£38) and embellished, dishevelled denim shorts (£34) – heap on long necklaces, chunky bangles and funky rings for a timeless summer look. The white lace frill dress (£50) is very pretty, looks extra-cute teamed with a Pixie-style headband and could easily be dressed up for evening too; this is set to be the sell-out piece of the collection, so get your greige-fingernailed mitts on it fast.
Now for the bad. Pixie’s collection includes a top with… Pixie Lott’s picture printed on it. It also features diamante. The Kate Moss for Topshop range this isn’t. It’s part of the Festival line, although we think it might damage your street cred ever so slightly if you turn up at some of the more indie festivals wearing this, even if the drop-hem and graphic print is bang on-trend. Save the branded merchandise for your concerts next time, Pixie love.
I’m also not a big fan of the floaty grey maxi dress (£60) – although this is a great summer look, it’s not exactly a colour that screams sunshine, is it? For that price, you can do better from other High Street stores. Also, the studded 2-in-1 dress (£55) is almost great but ruined by the tacky printed-on necklaces on the top. Couldn’t they have left this off and let us accessorise it on our own?!
Pixie Party is a much smaller collection, consisting of only 4 pieces and there are fewer missteps as a result. The underwear-as-outwear trend is explored with my personal favourite, the sexy bodycon lace bodice dress (£65 – and I’ve always been irresistibly drawn to the red-and-black colour combo) whilst the shiny animal-print mini (£55) is gorgeous and dying to be danced in. But the star of the range is the angelic embellished frill dress – at £75, it’s the most expensive piece in the collection but it shows in the beautifully-detailed contrast beading. It’s strapless though, so make sure you’re armed with the correct support unless you intend on showing a bit more flesh than intended!
Overall, it’s not a bad effort from Lott and she’ll be back with another collection for Lipsy in winter. Music, films, clothes – what next? We expect to be enjoying the next Pixie Lott album whilst munching on a Pixie Lott hamburger… maybe.

love the white mini, and the red/black bodice dress is gorgeous but the rest is just a bit meh
pixie’s whoring herself out a bit atm, she should just stick to looking hot and her music before we all get sick of her

I just left a massive comment AND IT DIDN’T SHOW UP.
Basically - at least she’s not doing 100 things a la The Sats.
I like the white and the print mini dresses, black waistcoat and pink tee. The others look REALLY tacky, no need for half the trims/embellishments.
The maxi dress would be okay with colourful accessories but i’m too short to wear one.
I doubt I’ll ever buy a t-shirt with her face on it. Ever.
You could probably buy the same kind of things down Primark for more than half the price and they’d be the same quality/look.

i do see her as a model, but i think she will go far as she is big at singing so that can help her aswell
