We were especially excited by today’s episode of teentoday.co.uk TV which was set to be our most professional yet. Not only did we have a brightly lit room with a treasure trove of snacks, a lovely sofa to sit on, and an actual tripod for our camera to sit proudly atop, but we were also interviewing one of our favourite new groups, and friends of teentoday.co.uk TV The Dolly Rockers. Then our battery died. Ouch. The clip featured after the jump is what we recorded before EMI had to lend us one of their mammoth machines - and can whet your appetite for the rest of the interview later this week…
Earlier in the year Rach described The Dollys as “bright and brash, cheeky but charming and just a little bit rude but all the better for it, they’re exactly the antidote to anodyne we’ve been looking for” and since then a succession of youtube clips, internet buzz and real-life experiences (we even went out and got pissed with the girls - that’s how seriously we take our work) has proven us entirely correct.
