which I read you find quite flattering?
I do...
Are you doing the same thing as her
and getting all the limelight by naming the band after
yourself?
*laughs* I could do a solo record right away.. no it just
happened, we were joking around one day and the guys were just
saying you should be that stuck up lead singer…”Stefy Rae,
it’s all about me”…but I kinda like it… band called Stefy.
They kind of talked me into it. It wasn’t even my idea.
Did you used to be called The Lovely?
We used to be called The Lovely but we had to change our name
because of the perfume by Sarah Jessica Parker.
Are you going to get your own
perfume?
Yeah, I don’t know what I’ll name it... Errr..
You’ll probably stick with Stefy
won’t you…
Probably.. I dunno *giggles*
Tell me 3 reasons why you are the
best band on myspace…
Number 1 I got three hot dudes...
Yeah...
And very talented by the way.
Of course.
Number 2. I think we’re a really cool band because we’re
bringing the eighties sound back... I really look up to
Blondie... we kinda want to bring that back. I’m kinda happy to
be a chick in this business because this is a man’s world... so
that’s number two. Ermm and Number 3.. we just want to have
fun.. we’re a band that just has fun and we have happy music.
And why are you the worst band on myspace?
The worst band... because I don’t have huge boobs.
I was thinking you have great style..
what one item could you not live without?
Definitely boots..

are you?
I’m in a pair of boots right now honey *giggles*
I’ve been compiling the list of the
best albums of 2006.. why will your album be the number one
next year?
Well hopefully it will be! I think it might number 1 because
again it’s we just want to have fun.. it’s all happy music...
every high school girl can relate to this record... because when
I first wrote it I was 17, 18 just getting out of high school,
had my heart broken, another girl stealing my boyfriend..
singing about things I saw in the OC.. teen pregnancy. Just
everything everyone can relate to.

Let’s talk about boys.. you’ve had
your heart broken loads of times?
I have. I’m that stupid girl that falls in love with the first
boy that comes along..
I don’t know why I do it, I just fall in love too quick,
that’s my problem.
Are you single at the moment?
I’m single right now yeah..
Do you think sometimes that you’re
one of those people that is obsessed with being with someone?
I get moments when I enjoy being single, like when you’re
playing at shows and you see so many hot dudes in the crowd
and you’re like “yeah I’m single tonight”. But there are
moments when you go home after a show and you’re just lonely
and you want someone to talk to. Someone to come home to
pretty much. I get stuck in between.
Ahhhhh… I read you didn’t have any
friends in high school?
No, I was the biggest dork
But why, you’re so pretty, I wonder
were they jealous?
No honey they weren’t jealous *laughs*. I was the biggest
dork ever. I was the type of girl that was always the loner.
Did you like being the loner / out of
place?
Noooooo. Sometimes it was hard for me. I didn’t want to be one
that was out of place. It just happened. I am the type of
person that is quiet. I’m a different person onstage.
You unleash the best?
I do. I unleash the beast.
I also read that you really like
Lauryn Hill.. copying her vocal style?
Oh yeah, Lauryn Hill was my vocal coach. She taught me how to
sing. *giggles*
Did you like Sister Act then?
Yeah she was so young there too…
The scene with the piano..?
Yeah

In your song Orange County, you say “sweet 16”. Do you
watch the TV show My Super Sweet 16?
I do. We actually wrote that before that show started coming
out. And oh my gosh it’s so weird. I can’t help but watch
that. I get so pissed off when I’m watching that show but I
can’t change the channel. It’s so weird.
They think they’re celebrities!
Believe it, dude, I was watching that last night, it was in
German and I still couldn’t change the channel.
It’s addictive isn’t it?
It’s so addicting. I couldn’t even understand a word but I was
like “that brat” What??”
How are you going to make sure you
stay on top and build your profile?
Just show my boobies.

would you do for a number 1?
I’d shave my head – that’s the furthest I’d go.
Do you think that’s why Britney did
it?
Probably.
Do you feel sorry for her?
I do. I feel sorry because she’s just looking for love.. that
poor girl.
Does she remind you of yourself in
high school?
Ermmm, I wasn’t as jacked up. Yeah kind of *giggles*
She needs a slap and someone to say
“pull yourself together”.
I know. I feel bad for the babies at home. She’s still a kid
you know. I just want to grab that bald head of hers and hug
her.
And stroke it? I was listening to
your song about school boys and I thought oh that’s a bit
inappropriate.

to go out with a 17 year old?
It was more of a joke. I would never touch a17 year old.
You do get some good looking younger
people and it’s almost scary.
It is scary. I stop at 18. 18’s way too young.

I’m like errmmm I don’t think so. But it was more of a joke
when we were writing the song cos I’m a pervert so I was like
why don’t we write about this…
