Steal Rachel Bilson’s Style

Rachel would look beautiful in a sack. However, the point is, she does not choose to wear a sack but instead, looks beautiful in effortlessly stylish ensembles like this. Rachel Read shows you how to steal her style!   30-second thief:
Blouse, Debenhams, £35
4 Ring Bag, Topshop, £25
Scarf, Miss Selfridge Sale, £5
Shorts, Miss Selfridge, £25
Leather Boots, Faith, £80

On closer inspection, the top/jacket thing she’s wearing is slightly strange. For those of us not blessed with Rachel’s beauty / figure / boyfriend (Adam Brody from The OC, lucky bitch), instead opt for a slightly safer Victoriana-style blouse. These can be found all over the high street, but the nicest I’ve found is this, from Debenhams, £35

The thing I love most about this outfit though, has to be Rachel’s bag. This shows just how much of a girl she really is. As any girl knows, those ridiculous tiny envelope-sized handbags that we’re expected to go out with fit sweet FA in. Oh if only we were all as brave as Rach and paraded our Mary Poppins-esque bags with pride. (Large 4-Ring bag, £25, TopShop, student discount alert!)

Sensibly, she’s gone for round toes and a sturdy heel for the comfort factor. And before you say it, yes boots are expensive, but think of them as an investment… (Multiply leather black boots, £80, Faith – student discount)

I don’t think many of us would be able to carry off the slightly Germanic-looking white tights, so for accessories, look out for the black scarf Rachel teams with this monochrome outfit. If you find the right one, not only will it go with any outfit, but provide warmth in both day and night. (Black curly-edge scarf, £5 in the sale, Miss Selfridge - student discount)

Bottom-wise, it could be a skirt, it could be shorts, who knows… But as a result of shorts being oh-so-trendy atm, I’ve gone for them – plus shorts look fab with knee-high boots, as Rachel demonstrates. (Victoria shorts, £25, Miss Selfridge– student discount alert!)
